How You Can Help

There are many ways that you and your family can help Camp Many Stars open and serve these precious, well deserving children and their families.

Thousands of generous, caring individuals have funded and built the current infrastructure of Camp Many Stars. Family cabins, roads, and trails have been built, and electrical, sewer and water are in place. There is more to do, time is running short, and we need your help.

Financial Contributions

At present our biggest need is for cash contributions. Construction of the final buildings is scheduled, but we can’t move forward without additional financial help. All contributions make a big difference and we invite you to make an online contribution today.

Time and Talents

Donating your time to attend camp to work on special projects with your family or a group can also be a big help. Join the 8,200 volunteers who have already helped to build camp by contacting our staff at:
307 884-6029 or by sending a message to: thejoyofdowns@gmail.com.

Please accept our deepest thanks and gratitude for your interest. We know that your contribution, however large or small, will provide the means for making Camp Many Stars become a reality.

A letter from Kent and Jeannine Savage

Kent and Jeannine SavageJeannine and I invite you to join with us to improve the lives of children with Down syndrome and their families by supporting the Joy of Downs, Inc.

The motivating philosophy of The Joy of Downs is that there is JOY in sharing life with a child with Down syndrome, especially within our families – and Jeannine and I agree. We are blessed to be the parents of Joseph, a 20 year-old young adult with Down syndrome. Joseph brings joy, love, and the spirit of the Lord into our home every day.

Life is challenging for all families, and families who are blessed with a child with Down syndrome have challenges and opportunities unique to raising a heavenly child.

Because The Joy of Downs believes that strengthening families is the foundation to improving lives, they focus on three objectives to enrich children’s lives within their families: Building and operating a camp for children with Down syndrome and their families; Providing leadership and service opportunities for young adults and adults with Down syndrome; Sharing and teaching best practices in family relations and child development.

Our family has been strengthened by the activities of The Joy of Downs and we are working to help thousands of other families enjoy the same opportunities.

We invite those who love these heavenly children and desire to strength families to join with us and support the Joy of Downs.
